Just be gracious that they have offered it to you. Go on the trip and while you are there you can buy them a big thank you gift which will make them happy that they offered it to you. And even if you feel bad for taking it you can always tell them it would make you feel better if you re payed them back.

Accept it, they are your parents and they care about you. If you are worried about etiquette, offer to pay it back, but chances are they will probably tell you not to worry about paying them back.

maybe they are trying to be helpful… and care about you.
it’s not like you take money from them all of the time, and if they want to do this for you, well, just let them…

i would take it if they really wanted to see me and i wanted to see them. i would also pay back with interest as soon as i could.

One- You parents know you never ask them for money, but this trip is beyond your budget and they know that and so they are offering it to you.
Two- They want you to go, have a good time and use the money.
Three- if you want you can pay half of it back.
So, take it.
This doesn’t mean you are a leech or anything. Our parents know us better than anyone. Don’t be confused. Just take the cash. You can give it back someday when you’re able. Give them a trip a or something.
