When I was in school as a kid we grew Aster in March and took it home in April. I think that if you are tight on money that you could grow your own flowers and just bunch them together. Aster has a pretty thick stem and big green leaves. The colors vary depending on the seed, you can get a nice purple or dark blue. And the best thing about them is that birds enjoy eating the seeds from this plant, so when your wedding is over and you are into conservation, you won’t have to throw the flower away! Welll you have to base the flowers on were the setting is and
your dress color
A beach seen with a silk white dress go with red roses mixed in with babys breath and white roses
A chruch seen with a white long dress: tulips and babys breath

How about tulips? Those are my favorite flowers and they’re not used as frequently as roses or calla lilies. You’d have lots of options for different colors. I think they would look very simple & elegant.
If you want to go with something fun & bright – gerbera daisies would be great.
I had sweetpeas in my bouquet – they looked pretty and smelled gorgeous!

orchids are nice but expensive isnt there a local flower shop where you can pick the flowers yourself and do your own arrangement?
